The sources for the crew list are from the Empire Cruise book by V.S. Scott O'Connor. Photographs of the crew list are here.

To turn the pages from that source into a database I did the following:

Scans of the crewlist from that book were imported into Google’s NotebookLM and it was asked:

Please extract a list of crew member names in the format of columns: Forename(s)/Initials Surname Ship Rank Notes Page Column Order in column
This information was imported into excel and then imported into Notion which is the software I used to make these databases and publish them as webpages.
The Page, column and order in column refer to the individual pages scanned from the Empire Cruise book by V.S. Scott O'Connor. These are used to check for scanning errors and are linked to from each individual record in the crew database if you want to check.
